What to Expect

Three simple steps:

Step 1 — Clinical Intake Consultation
You’ll meet with one of our medical professionals to review your history, discuss your goals, and confirm that ketamine treatment is clinically appropriate for you. Questions are welcome and expected.

Step 2 — Your Session
Treatment is administered intramuscularly in a calm, private, supportive environment. Your vital signs are monitored throughout. For Ketamine Assisted Therapy, Dr. Bundukamara guides you through active emotional processing during the session.

Step 3 — What’s Next
Unlike a standalone ketamine clinic, we don’t just send you home. Your care team helps you integrate the experience and determine the right next steps, whether that’s additional sessions, psychiatric support, or building on your progress through the Mentally STRONG Method.

FAQs

FAQ on Ketamine Treatment

Following are a few frequently asked questions about Ketamine Treatment. Please schedule a private, personal consultation with us to learn more about which treatment may be proper for you and answer any questions you may have.

Does Insurance Cover This Treatment?

No — both IM Ketamine and Ketamine Assisted Therapy are self-pay services. Insurance does not cover either treatment. Pricing is transparent and payment is due at time of service. There are no hidden fees.

What is the difference between IM Ketamine and Ketamine Assisted Therapy?

IM Ketamine is medically supervised treatment focused on symptom relief — you receive the treatment in a calm, monitored environment with full clinical support. Ketamine Assisted Therapy goes deeper. Dr. Bundukamara is present throughout your session actively guiding you through emotional processing while the ketamine is working. KAT is specifically designed for trauma work and is not something you'll find at a standard ketamine clinic.

Do I need a referral to get started?

No referral is needed. However, a clinical intake consultation with one of our medical professionals is required before your first session. This is not a formality — it's how we make sure ketamine is clinically appropriate for your history and goals. If it's not the right fit, we'll tell you and help you find what is.

How many sessions of ketamine will I need?

This varies significantly by individual and is discussed during your intake consultation. Some people experience meaningful relief within their first few sessions. Your provider will work with you to determine the right treatment plan based on your response and goals.

How quickly does it work?

Some individuals experience symptom relief within hours of their first session. Results vary depending on the individual, the condition being treated, and other factors discussed during your intake.

Can I combine Ketamine Treatments with other services at Mentally STRONG?

Absolutely — and this is one of the key advantages of receiving ketamine treatment here rather than at a standalone clinic. Your ketamine treatment can be integrated with psychiatric care, the Mentally STRONG Method, or coaching programs depending on your needs and goals.
