(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A Colorado Springs woman dealt with unimaginable loss, and turned the experience into a way to help others.
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Cristi Bundukamara dealt with the death of not only her husband but also the deaths of three of her children.
She founded Mentally STRONG, where her clinics combine counseling and medication into one appointment. She also has a free book, a free online course, and a three-day in-person Grief Intensive class.
In addition to that, she spent 45 days filming herself trying to find the best ways to grieve. She went to doctors for brain scans, swam with dolphins, went to sweat lodges, and more. Now, she’s hoping a documentary called “I’m Right Here, Mama”, can help others through her experience.
